Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. As an U.S. female gymnast, Biles was one of the few who won four gold medals in the same Games at the 2016 Olympics. She is also the first person to win three world championships in succession. Biles lived in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after her and her sister Adria had been adopted by parents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone started to develop an interest in gymnastics as when she was six years old in a school field trip at Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach throughout the following eleven years. Biles received a silver medal in vault, and a bronze medal in floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin playing in elite levels of competition. She dominated her sport within a mere two years. Biles's consistent, exuberant personality and the level of challenge in her four events -vault uneven bars, balance beam floor workout and floor exercise -- set her apart.
